Alberta Heath Services provides coverage for complete eye exams for individuals under 19 years old and 65 years and older. Coverage is also provided for emergency and medically necessary appointments for all ages. This includes medical appointments for conditions such as eye infections, ocular allergies, ocular foreign bodies, sudden onset of floaters or flashes of light, sudden decrease in vision, etc.
