Born and raised in Calgary, Dr. Wishart is proud to care for the community she calls home. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Calgary in 2011, graduating with first class honours. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Sciences in 2015, where she received multiple awards for academic excellence, including the College of Optometrists of Ontario General Proficiency Award and the Abbott Medical Optics General Proficiency Award First Prize.
Dr. Wishart’s clinical training included an ocular disease externship in Atlanta, Georgia, where she gained valuable experience in managing glaucoma, cataracts, anterior segment, and retinal diseases. In 2013 she also participated in an optometric service trip to Casma, Peru with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, providing care to underserved communities.
Since joining Woodbine Optometry in 2017, Dr. Wishart has been commminted to delivering comprehensive, high-quality eye health care. She is particularly interested in dry eye disease and myopia control children and youth.
Outide the clinic Dr. Wishart enjoys yoga, tavelling, reading her never-ending stack of books, and spending time with husband and children (both human and canine).
